As in Malaysia, 49% employees in Malaysia plan on leaving their current jobs. Moreover, approximately 75% of Malaysian mothers quit jobs due to inflexibility.

It is OK to Quit Job for Personal Development
First things first, every employee has the rights to acquire personal development at work. Whether it is in the form of skills, knowledge, or financial life, it is among the basic labor rights that companies should never invalidate.
That said, if a company were unable to fulfill the needs, it would always be okay to leave. Basically, workers need the supporting environment to develop, thus improving their qualities as skilled workers.
Another Life Goal Gives You Permission to Leave
Either an institution or an individual lives their daily lives according to their very own agendas. No matter whether you employ someone or being employed, you are, perhaps unconsciously, following your very own agenda or life goals.
For that reason, if you have a change of mind to pursue higher education or experience a career change, it is always okay to leave your jobs. After all, the work relationship is all about professionalism, thus nothing should accord to personal justifications.
It is All about Professionalism
As explained above, work is all about professionalism. Ergo, personal factors such as personal guilt and/or shame should not cloud your considerations.
If one ever badmouths you for not being loyal to the company you work for, the statement is arguably baseless. Accordingly, you work for the company and the company pays you under the conditions that you give your best and do not cheat. Apart from that, anything is most likely acceptable.
