Crazy Rich Asian movie has brought a trend to the whole world. The movie shows the life of, well, crazy rich Asians. A bunch of luxury items are shown in the movie. But Singapore has its’ own way of looking like a crazy rich Asian. Reebonz makes it possible even for those who are not so rich to have luxurious items matching their budgets.
Reebonz way of connecting people through luxury items
The Singaporean e-commerce company was established in 2009. Samuel and Daniel Lim together with Benjamin Han co-founded the company. Starting only with 18 employees, now it has hundreds of staff around the world.
Reebonz offers a marketplace for luxury items. New luxury goods, used, vintage, limited, just say it and you’ll find it on the app. This is because Reebonz connects customers, sellers, designers and brands in one platform. Not merely selling, the apps is also featured with other services for goods restoring and maintenance.
Not to forget the not-so-rich ones
The company even has an offering for those with limited budgets. The prices of pre-used items are a lot cheaper than the new ones, even though it’s still in the prime shape. Not just for pre-used items, the now 10-year-old company also has flash sales that give discounts to new goods.
Within ten years, the company has grown to the Asia-Pacific market. It is now available in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, Hongkong, Thailand, Australia, South Korea, and China. In addition, it recently opened its’ service in USA. Reebonz has even taken a step to start the business in Europe.
No more knock-offs
Knowing the concern of a goods’ originality, it recently built a partnership with VeChain. The blockchain company will track the origin and supply chain of luxury items sold on Reebonz. The two companies are developing a digital tag that will be attached on each product.
The digital tag will allow tracking the item from end to end. Also helping in avoiding fake items. The data of the luxury items will then be stored on VeChainThor blockchain platform.
Now, have you decide which luxury items will you buy next?
