What does a startup company actually mean? Startup itself means that the company has just been established and is still in the pioneering stage. Even so, startup companies themselves are starting to become synonymous with technology considering that many of these companies use the latest technology in serving today’s market needs.
There are several levels of startup companies that describe the valuation value held by the company.
Unicorn
caste level Unicorn in a startup company itself is quite large. Because there are still few companies that can break through this level. Unicorn itself is a term used for a company that has a valuation value of 1 billion dollars or around Rp. 14 trillion. In Indonesia alone, currently there are four companies that are already at the Unicorn level.
Decacorn level
The Decacorn level itself is a level for startup companies that have a valuation value of 10 billion dollars, equivalent to IDR 140 trillion. Of course companies that have reached this level are big companies.
In addition, once the startup company has reached this level, it will be increasingly difficult to find investors. Of course, investors must have a large funding capacity.
Hectocorn Level
A startup company that has the Hectocorn level itself is a company that has a valuation value of 100 billion dollars or around Rp 1,400 trillion. Of course this company is a world class company.
Some of the world’s companies have reached the Hectocorn level, such as Google, Apple, Microsoft and Facebook. Companies that are able to reach this level are usually born only 1 to 3 companies per year.
