Apple unveiled new products such as the latest smartphone, the iPhone 15 series, on the 12th local time.
Apple held an event at Apple Park in Cupertino, California, and introduced new products such as the iPhone 15 series and Apple Watch.
The iPhone 15 series consists of a 6.1-inch basic model, a 6.7-inch plus, and a high-end 6.1-inch Pro and a 6.7-inch Promax, just like its predecessor.
The price was expected to rise by about $100 from its predecessor, but remained at the same level last year.
All iPhone 15 series have “USB-C” charging terminals instead of existing lighting ports.
This is the first time that USB-C is applied to an iPhone.
Apple explained, “This is because USB-C has become a standard model.”
The move comes after the European Union made USB-C mandatory for all electronic devices sold in Europe from 2024.
The basic model and Plus are equipped with Dynamic Island, which was adopted by the iPhone 14 luxury model last year.
As a result, the M-shaped “notch,” which appeared in 2017 and was pointed out as reminiscent of hair loss, has completely disappeared.
In addition, the “A16 Bionic” chip, which was installed on the iPhone 14 Pro and the Pro Max, has been installed, making the function faster.
These models are equipped with 48-megapixel main cameras to support double optical zoom.
It enhances the portrait photography function and automatically adjusts the depth without setting it one by one.
The Pro and Pro Max luxury models have been transformed into high-strength, lightweight ‘titanium’ cases.
In more than 40 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and China, pre-order will be available from the 15th, and store sales will begin on the 22nd.
