Since last year, a battle of subscribers went on in Youtube. The battle was between PewDiePie and T-Series. The former was the highest paid Youtuber in the world. The latter then took over the title in 2018. And it has since been a war between the two to gain the title of the most subscribed channel.
T-Series vs PewDiePie, a one sided battle?
PewDiePie is a content creator for videos relating to game, reactions and vlogs. Meanwhile T-Series is a company with Bushan Khumar as the CEO. The company is an Indian music distributor and film maker.
Even though PewDiePie was seemingly very eager on beating T-Series, Khumar didn’t agree. He admitted he never thought of it as a competition, moreover an ambition of beating PewDiePie. The company had only did their work in uploading videos related to their music, musicians, movie trailers and soundtracks.

By the beginning of April 2019, T-Series had led the battle of subscribers with a slight difference from Pewdiepie’s. With almost 100 million subscribers, T-Series expects an approximately $100 million revenues from Youtube only. An amazing number, minding there are only 13 people working behind the Youtube account.
From pirated music to India’s biggest entertainment company
T-Series itself was found in 1985, starting as a company selling pirated music. It then began to produce its’ own soundtrack. The soundtrack became a hit with 20 million sales in 1997. Soon the company grew big. Then they stepped in to movie productions. Now T-Series holds 35% stocks in the music industry of India.
With 10-12 movie productions per year and soundtrack sales, experts expects a flipping $1 billion of revenues per year. Making it the king of India’s entertainment industry as well as Youtube’s Most Subscribed account.
