In starting a business, establishing with the brand name is one of the basic steps. Unfortunately, a lot of people still think easily about creating a brand. The truth is, a thorough discussion upon a brand can really help a business a lot. Stephen Dalby, founder of Gabb Wireless Inc. shared with Forbes seven measures to consider upon creating an engaging brand.
Creating a brand that defines you and your business
Every businessman will suggest the same thing. Don’t lie about you and your brand. Instead, tell the world that your business is a manifestation of your passion. Ask several questions before you come up with the brand. Start from a common question like why you established the company. Then, think about what makes your brand different from others, and why future customers should choose you rather than other brands. Having thought of such matters ahead will help you come up with future plans and strategies to implement in your business.
Think further from just creating a business brand, express your values
Dalby further suggests matching the important values you believe in your life with those of your target market. For example, Dalby believes that “technology has a place and a time.” Hence, he does not find the necessity to fill all the spaces in our everyday life with technology. In the practice, Dalby does not limit his business, which is mobile phones for kids, to parents who are technology savvy, but also non-parents adults.
Consistent communication
Being consistent with the business brand that you came up with is as much important than creating one. Keep on communicating with your audience in relation to your brand value and identity. Utilize online and offline platforms to deliver the messages to your target customers. This could include physical office, store environment, marketing messages, visuals, content, sales, and even customer service and support.
