The image above is a photo of the launch of a short-range ballistic missile, the government issued. North Korea, accordingly, conducted another missile test, again.
On August 10, North Korea launched two short-range missiles. Both were a new type. The test, therefore, was to evaluate its new arsenal development.
These projectiles were from North Korea’s east coast and flew about 400 km at a height of about 48 km. They can be a potential danger that threatens Japan and South Korea, as well as US soldiers that were in those countries.
This test, furthermore, was the country’s second weapon test in the past week. Since July 25, the country has conducted a total of five weapon tests. In response, South Korea believes that all of them were violating UN Resolutions.
The launch of those projectiles showed that North Korea’s Supreme Leader Kim Jong-Un is not happy with US-South Korea’s activity near its border. Currently, those countries are conducting joint military exercises. Kim suspects that this is just a disguised attempt to invade the country.

“It is a miscalculation if they think that the very change of name of the very change of the name of the exercise can alter its aggressive nature. Though we are to enter into a dialogue in future as the currents flow in favor of dialogue, they had better keep in mind that this dialogue would be held strictly between the DPRK and the US, not between the North and the South,” said a North Korean official as quoted by CNN.
On the other hand, South predicts that there will be upcoming missile tests. This is so as North is about to conduct its own military drills.
Trump: Kim is Not Happy
When asked about Kim and DPRK’s missile test, US President Donald Trump said that Kim is not happy. The reason is, according to Mr. President, pertaining to the joint military drills with the South.
Moreover, the president also stated that the supreme leader sent him a letter with a “small apology.” The letter further explained that North Korea was conducting missile tests to counter the joint military drills.
Also, Kim Jong-Un cited that this critique should be in line with Mr. Trump’s because Mr. Trump criticized the joint as too expensive as well.
However, the US president did not think that the test was that severe. As he told reporters, he said it was okay for Kim to test the missiles since other countries did this as well.

Besides, Trump argued that so long the tests do not include nuclear and intercontinental ballistic missiles, then it is totally fine. In accordance with the statement, the talks between the US and the DPRK were closely related to nuclear arsenals.
